Mr. Thompson grew up in Miami, Florida, and attended Florida A&M University for undergraduate school. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 2015 from Barry University School of Law. During his time in law school he was a certified legal intern with the Office of the Public Defender for the 9th Judicial Circuit where he represented indigent clients. After graduation and passing the Florida Bar he became an assistant public defender serving in the County Court division, Juvenile division and felony Circuit Court divisions. He obtained invaluable experience as a trial attorney representing client that were faced with difficult legal circumstances.

After his tenure with the public defender’s office, he became employed by the Orange County Attorney’s Office and the Orange County Board of County Commissioners. During his tenure with the Orange County Attorney’s Office, he handled a wide range of cases relating to local government, administrative procedures and hearings, real estate law, administrative appeals, circuit court appeals and appeals to the Florida district courts of appeals. His service at Orange County was in the litigation department representing various administrative agencies within the Orange County Government.

Mr. Thompson left Orange County and became an insurance defense attorney for one of the larger insurance companies in the country as a Senior Trial Attorney where he actively litigated cases defending insureds and the insurance company from bodily injury and uninsured motorist lawsuits.

Mr. Thompson brings a wealth of experience in the various subject matters he has encountered over the years as an attorney and currently assists clients all throughout Florida in the different subject matters he has expertise in. He is licensed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida; the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and has a Florida Real Estate License.
